# Trading Alert Notifications and Settings Guide

> Quantum Finance shows in-app toast alerts during active trading sessions. Learn which alerts to expect, what they mean, and how to toggle them on or off.

Quantum Finance surfaces real-time alerts as toast notifications while the trading engine is running. These in-app messages keep you informed about engine status, network conditions, and trading events — without requiring you to watch every log line. Notifications appear only during active sessions in the trading terminal; there are no email or push notifications at this time.

## Notification types

Two types of toast alerts appear during a trading session.

### Warning notifications

Warning notifications are displayed in **yellow** and indicate conditions that may affect trading performance or require your attention.

| Alert | What it means |
| - | - |
| Unstable network detected | The engine has detected poor connectivity that could affect trade execution. |
| Circuit breaker triggered | An automated safety mechanism has halted trading to prevent further losses. |
| Insufficient funds | Your available balance is too low to execute the next trade. |

### Info notifications

Info notifications are displayed in **blue** and provide routine status updates about the trading engine.

| Alert | What it means |
| - | - |
| Engine status updates | Confirms the engine has started, paused, or stopped. |
| Sync information | The engine is syncing market data or re-establishing a connection. |

<Warning>
  When notifications are off, trading alerts — including circuit breaker and insufficient funds warnings — are suppressed. You will not receive any visual feedback about critical engine events until you re-enable notifications.
